Description and Instructions

        To comply with the relevant laws and regulations, the program sets the study duration at 1 to 4 years and requires that students complete the compulsory courses and master's degree essay before graduating. In the government's educational policy, "successful teachers" has been an important issue, and the elementary and junior high school teachers play a key role in primary education. In order to develop the teachers with not only the core quality of lifelong learning and professional knowledge of continuous learning but also becoming professional teachers with multiple creative teaching abilities. In addition to the basic courses, the program has particularly focused on the essential knowledge in the professional development of professional teachers with the courses including Learning School, Action Research, Theory and Research in Education, Lifelong Learning and Learn Society, Qualitative Research in Education, Research on Multicultural Curriculum and Pedagogy, the Design of e-Learning Content, School and Community Education, Quantitative Research Method: Educational Statistics, Curriculum Development and Design, Current Issues on Disadvantaged Students and Schooling, Master's Degree Essay, and etc. The curriculum is closely combined with theory and practice in order to cultivate the needs of the elementary and junior high school teachers with comprehensive professional knowledge.

Course Implementation

        The courses offered by the program has claimed e-Learning Courseware Certification (ECC) issued by the Ministry of Education and are conducted through the distance learning method. In spite of that, each course is offered one face-to-face course every month, and according to the different attributes of each course, the teachers will plan practical training activities depending on the requirements of the course to achieve the expected educational objectives.

Face-to-face courses: There are 3-4 face-to-face courses every semester and conducted on Saturdays at the beginning, middle, and end of the term.

Synchronous distance learning courses: On the basis of regular schedules and no fixed geographic locations, the teacher conducts the synchronous distance learning class. For example, synchronous teaching, online group discussion, or online report.

Asynchronous distance learning courses: Through the pre-recorded sessions made by the teacher of the class (e-learning materials), the class can be conducted on irregular schedules and no fixed geographic locations. For example: asynchronous distance learning class, sample case analysis and investigation, or forum issue discussion.

Online consultation: The teacher of the class arranges the online consultation one hour per week for students.
